Trust Wallet announced the expansion of its capabilities with the integration of the Revolut Pay payment solution. This feature is now available in both the mobile version of the wallet and its desktop interface, allowing users across Europe to instantly top up their cryptocurrency balances without Revolut fees.
Four key assets are initially supported: BTC, ETH, SOL, and USDC. However, the team has already confirmed that the list will gradually expand. Trust Wallet emphasizes that the new option is especially useful for those new to Web3 services: Revolut's familiar interface reduces technical complexity and makes the purchase process significantly more intuitive.
Project representatives note that one of the industry's key challenges is the so-called first-purchase barrier, whereby users interested in cryptocurrency face an overly complex wallet funding process. The team envisions the integration of Revolut Pay eliminating this pain point and making the path to their first digital assets as straightforward and fast as possible.
Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen emphasized that acquiring cryptocurrency should be as simple as a regular online payment. She noted that the new partnership helps bring the industry closer to this standard and allows newcomers to seamlessly transition from interest to actual token ownership.
The company views the unification of Web2 and Web3 functionality as an important step toward creating a new generation of fintech solutions. Going forward, Trust Wallet intends to increase access to DeFi tools, tokenized assets, and other capabilities, while maintaining the principle of self-custody. The team believes that this approach forms the foundation of future neobanks, capable of combining the convenience of traditional services with the advantages of decentralized technologies.
The partnership with Revolut also reflects a broader trend: demand for reliable and straightforward entry mechanisms into the crypto ecosystem continues to grow. European audiences, accustomed to fintech apps with minimal steps and a transparent interface, can derive tangible benefits from the integration, from transaction speed to cost reduction.
Trust Wallet has previously taken steps to expand its user functionality, including launching its own prediction market. This new integration logically continues this strategy, strengthening the wallet's position as one of the most mass-market-oriented tools in the European crypto space.
